A Sinking Boat and Intuition.

“GET UP! GET UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!” These words were all I could hear deep in my sleep until I did just that. I thought I was dreaming until it was so significant my body told me something else was going on.

When I heard this voice, it was 4 am on a warm summer morning in late August. I was on a riverboat in southern France with four other women. It was dark, I was half-awake, and I felt a chill. As I moved my blanket to cover me fully, I noticed water. Yes, water! Lots of water.

I turned on my headlamp, and as I opened my eyes more alert, all I could see was water. It was 6 inches from my mattress.

Yes, the boat was sinking. It started in the middle of the night while we were all sleeping.

The next word that came from that internal voice… MOVE!

After years of listening to these messages, I knew these words in my sleepy state were real. Naturally, when I fully woke up, it was obvious what to do, yet my internal landscape remained calm, awake, and solid. It was as if my nervous system partnered with that clear voice rather than a frantic mind.

The experience of hearing words from deep within happens to all of us. These messages can appear as a whisper or can deliver like a symphony. Many have titles for this. Wisdom from the Universe, the creator, higher self, to God we all have our intimate connection.

Honestly, for me, it’s a connection with our higher wisdom. And those spoken words of wisdom saved us that early morning in France.

It is that wisdom that opens the door to our truth. And, if we work with it enough, it will become our partner in everything that crosses our path.

So why am I sharing this story? Because every one of us can access our wisdom. I bet you have been in touch with it before, and sometimes you listen to it, yet sometimes you don’t.

Over the years, I’ve learned, with guidance, that voice knows much more than “I” do and that wisdom inside doesn’t need all the answers. It simply knows and trusts the path ahead.

So as we wave goodbye to the past, plotting our goals and dreams for what’s next, this story is here to remind you to tap into that internal message system and tap out of the external noise. Tune into you and discover a treasure trove of the next steps for the path ahead.

The France riverboat story is one for the books and, to this day, still delivers essential lessons.

Here’s to living the moment and the treasures in store for you!
