The other primary speaker was Dr. Zach Bush, someone my MEA co-founder Jeff Hamaoui has wanted me to meet. Wow, what an inspiring meeting we had!
Zach Bush MD is a physician specializing in internal medicine, endocrinology and hospice care who is a thought leader on the microbiome as it relates to health, disease, and food systems. Dr. Zach founded Seraphic Group and the nonprofit Farmer’s Footprint to develop root-cause solutions for human and ecological health. This is a human who understands the relationship between soil and soul, the microbiome in the gut and in the land. This is why Zach is one of the most intriguing regenerative thinkers on the planet. His education has highlighted the need for a radical departure from chemical farming and pharmacy, and his ongoing efforts are providing a path for consumers, farmers, and mega-industries to work together for a healthy future for people and the planet.
Upon meeting Zach, I immediately invited him on one of our MEA online fireside chats with me and one of my co-founders Jeff Hamaoui on October 19 from 12:30-1:30 pm PT. While we’ll talk about all of the info listed above, we’ll get into his personal story as well including why he believes curiosity is a connection to the spirit, how he’s adjusted his own lifestyle and learning as he moved from doctor to humans to doctor for the planet, why he’s spending so much of his time on central Africa as one of the primary locations to solve climate change, and why we can apply our well-told story of the U-curve of Happiness for humans to the planet as he suggests the planet is about to have a rebound from its nadir. Register HERE!
Lastly, the timing of this online chat is perfect as one month later (Nov 21-26) is Paul Hawken’s (and Jeff Hamaoui’s) “Regenerating Soil and Soul: People, Planet and Purpose” workshop at MEA Baja. We will give away one free single occupancy tuition to Paul’s workshop on Zach’s fireside chat – that’s a $5,500 value! I hope you’ll join us on October 19 for this important conversation
