I Write. You Read. Hopefully, We’re Both Better Off For It.

I’m high on life sitting on my deck at an Austrian medical spa on the bucolic Lake Altaussee with Yosemite-like sheer cliff faces facing me.

Oren and I strolled around the 7.5 kilometer lake trail last night during the magic hour of dusk just before our miniscule dinner (warm broth with six finely cut vegetable parts, each the size of my “pinkiest” of toenails that hasn’t been trimmed in a couple months). We’re subsisting on 600 calories per day, but I feel more energized to write than ever before. As I’ve said to you before, writing is my form of breathing. And, breathing and writing are both so appreciated in the Austrian Alps.

As this week of “asks” nears its conclusion, I ask that you share Wisdom Well with your friends. It’s really unusual for a daily blog to have more than a 65% open rate (the average for a weekly blog is 17%) so I deeply appreciate how you’ve ritualized your morning dose of Chip.

And, here’s the good news, our new website makes Wisdom Well far more accessible and filterable (is that even a word?!) so it’s a more joyous read when you’re accessing past blogs. You can also see my highlighted favorite or most personal blog posts. So, go tell five friends about why Wisdom Well has become a ritual for you each day. And, you might consider buying them a holiday gift of “A Year of Wisdom,” my compilation of 366 of my shorter blog posts.

Lastly, MEA has developed a close relationship with INC magazine as we do private Baja workshops for their INC 5000 Masters group and we’ll be offering a public INC-branded workshop on “Entrepreneurship at Any Age” a year from now at our Santa Fe campus. INC asked me to write a regular column on the psychology of the entrepreneur. My first article came out this month entitled “Your Company Has Grown by Leaps and Bounds. Now It’s Your Turn” which chronicles how essential personal growth is to company growth. One without the other leads to a happy but unsuccessful OR unhappy but successful entrepreneur. Feel free to share the article and keep an eye out for my column in future INC magazine issues.
