- Parque del Alma
We’ve preserved a half-acre beachfront sand dune as an environmental interpretive center and silent contemplation park. Of course, you may not want to close your eyes to meditate. You might miss a whale breaching offshore. - The MEA Library
The oceanfront living room offers more than 300 books dedicated to the subjects of aging, wisdom, and repurposing. Each of the 23 sections is organized not by a subject matter but by a catalytic question like, “How do I evolve?” or “What’s My Next Step?” - Tony’s Fireplace
Hiding behind chef Tony’s kitchen is a tucked-in outdoor living room with a working fireplace where our beloved chef and primo surfer serenades us with his guitar while we marvel at the starlit sky. - Desierto Steam Room
Even many of our alums don’t know about this foggy getaway that creates some lovely humidity amidst the arid desert climate. - Mariposa Roof Terrace
Our home furthest from the beach (but only a 5-minute walk) has the most awesome view of any of our four homes that make up the campus as it looks out onto the verdant farmland, tropical palm trees, desert cactus, and nearby mountain ranges. Paradise has a perch.I’m also happy to announce that we’ve just opened up our 6th hidden wonder of the campus:
- The Eldergarden
Our quintessential Mexican garden supplies our organic produce, offers a pizza oven and dining, and a glassed-in art studio in the midst of the desert.
C’mon down for a visit as you’ll see that MEA is all about Wisdom with a twist of Wellness.
Who knows what you’ll discover!
