The Stalemate of the Soul.

Wikipedia defines “stalemate” this way: “a situation in the game of chess where the player whose turn it is to move is not in check but has no legal move. The rules of chess provide that when stalemate occurs, the game ends as a draw.”

No one likes a “draw”, and yet many people in midlife feel a sense of having no options or, even worse, being beaten into submission. Of course, the awful phrase “midlife crisis” sprouted from this barren ground.

Psychologist Carl Jung suggested, “The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego; the second half is going inward and letting go of it.” In midlife, our operating system shifts from the ego to the soul and, yet we are given no society-sanctioned schools, tools, or practices for this shift. Even worse, it often feels like the circumstances of our lives are almost meant to prod or punish us to make this shift.

The result: many people don’t make the conscious shift, and their soul feels like it’s in a stalemate.

This is part of the reason we created MEA Online. Our course, “Your Roadmap for Navigating Midlife Transitions”, is dedicated to helping you make this operating shift from the ego to the soul while also giving you practical tools to master the variety of transitions life will throw your way in your forties, fifties, and sixties (or at any age).

Think of MEA Online as your “Wisdom Accelerator” to reignite your soul and direct you toward a more fulfilling and engaging life.

Life shouldn’t end in a stalemate.

As a Wisdom Well reader, feel free to take advantage of $75 off by using code MEA222 during checkout. If you have any questions about MEA Online while considering if the course is right for you, contact us and we’ll be happy to provide more information. Class starts June 05th!
