Travel & Leisure Magazine Loves MEA Baja’s ‘Hood.

Baja California Sur, where MEA is located in Mexico, is by far the least populated state relative to its land area in the entire country. Because we’re in such a rural place, we have so much beauty to behold.

In this recent Travel & Leisure magazine article, the journalist listed the 24 most beautiful places in Mexico, with our tiny fishing and farming village, El Pescadero, taking the prestigious #1 spot on the list. Notably, three of the top four locations are in our state, and in fact, four of the 24 listed places are in Baja California Sur.

To enhance your experience of the wonders of Baja, we’ve prepared a Baja Discovery Guide that’s perfectly suited for our upcoming “re-fresh” wellness vacation experiences on our Baja campus. These experiences are available from August 27-September 30, including Thanksgiving week and three weeks during the Christmas/New Year’s holidays. The re-fresh experience is a great way to experience the awe of Baja without as much structure as our normal workshop week but with all the great amenities: 3 delicious meals each day (including alcohol at dinner), mindfulness programs, and structured conversations focusing on MEA content, and all kinds of other services—massage, horseback riding, mountain biking, surfing, and our very own shaman Saul (who fortunately has more availability in late summer than the rest of the year).

If you want to check out our fall workshop calendar, here you go. Fall is the greenest time of year, with sea turtles hatching in front of our campus and whales beginning their winter migration. And, here’s a great essay from our friend Arthur Brooks in The Atlantic about the value of learning on a vacation.

We look forward to seeing you in Baja soon!
