A Life Alive.

“I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are the experience of being alive.” -Joseph Campbell

Albert Schweitzer wrote, “In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”

I see this rekindling each week at MEA. Mid-lifers connect with the often faint and distant flame inside themselves, then combine that internal flame with the fire of those around them. It creates a metaphorical bonfire on a remote beach in Mexico. What a gift it is to see this miracle over and over again.

Someone recently called MEA an “Un-Slumber Party,” a place where you become awake with your new best friends. A space where you morph life’s expectations and disappointments into experiences metabolized into wisdom and purpose. A container where life’s patina, like a comfy, old leather sofa, calms and recharges you. This journey is to be celebrated and appreciated.

Whether you’re coming for a siesta in one of our hammocks or making the pilgrimage to become more awake and alive, let’s celebrate the journey together. We’ll have a margarita or mocktail waiting for you. Here are some of our upcoming workshops that still have some availability:

March 5-12: Awaken Your Rebel Soul to Reimagine Success. This will be a rollicking fun week with former Harley-Davidson CMO Shelley Paxton. Still a couple financial aid spaces available.

March 28-April 2: Optimizing Longevity with the “Blue Zones” Founder. Learn about how you can live a longer, happier life from bestselling author Dan Buettner.

April 3-8: Women’s Power Play Book. This women-only week with Carolyn Buck-Luce will help you uncover your purpose, recover your power and discover your destiny.

April 9-16: Finding the Magic of Midlife. One of MEA’s most popular workshops, due to the fact it’s led by our two best in-house facilitators, co-founder Jeff Hamaoui and long-time MEA leader Kari Cardinale.
