Unfortunately, many of us haven’t been trained in giving care or what resources are available to support us. However, recently I discovered a new company that feels like it’s filling that gap.
ExtendaTouch is a free service, organized by subject, where you can find matching family caregivers who have experience in specific issues you may be facing while caring for your family members or friends.
Peer-to-peer connections are an effective way to collaborate to get relevant hands-on information from other family caregivers walking the same path. ExtendaTouch is opt-in and anonymous by design to protect caregiver’s privacy.
Family caregivers can use any browser to display and provide a direct click-through to the closest non-profit organizations for additional information and support within each subject. A blog is published daily during the week that focuses on common issues family caregivers face.
It’s a new resource I hope you find helpful. After all, you deserve the support.
