So, if that’s the case, maybe MEA is a prep school for modern elderhood (defining elderhood as a life stage that can last 30 or 40 years), another normal life stage transition. At our annual alumni Homecoming, a new MEA alum told me, “MEA is a prep school for ‘elders-in-training’ in a modern world that needs more wisdom.” I like that.
What’s more preppy than a Head of School named Chip!!? And, our second Santa Fe campus, on Museum Hill, is opening in a few years across the street from the best adolescent prep school in New Mexico, Santa Fe Prep. Adolescents and middlescents, mixing it up.
MEA alum and Santa Fe resident Dave Herndon says, “Santa Fe is like a college town for Boomers.” We hope to become your alma mater, whether you experience our Baja beach or Santa Fe ranch campus.

P.S. In Sunday’s online Washington Post and today’s paper version, there’s an interview with me about why midlife is a chrysalis, not a crisis. Hope you enjoy it.
