Introducing MEA Baja’s 2023 Workshops.

We have so much fresh goodness coming your way next year with new thought leaders like Esther Perel, Dan Buettner, Kathy Smith, Dr. Richard Schwartz, Russ Hudson, Light Watkins, Marc Freedman, and Lynne Twist (none of whom were on our 2022 workshop calendar). Of course, we also have many of your favorite regular MEA faculty. You can check out our full 2023 workshop calendar at this link.

At the start of next month, we’ll be doing an online Q&A session with some of our 1st quarter workshop faculty so you can learn more about their programs. In the meantime, here’s what we have on the calendar for the year’s first three months.

Finding the Magic of Midlife (Jan 15-22)
Once per year, the three MEA co-founders (Jeff, Christine, and me) lead one workshop together, which always sells out. Our focus this year is on the upside of a life stage that has gotten a bad rap. What if midlife wasn’t a crisis but instead a “chrysalis” when all the magical transformation takes place? This one is about to sell out.

Mastery Week: The Emergence of the Wise Leader (Jan 30-Feb 4)
Soren Gordhamer started the influential Wisdom 2.0 community and conference years ago and has worked closely with an amazing collection of wise leaders, from Linkedin Executive Chair Jeff Weiner to Byron Katie to Jon Kabat-Zinn to Eckhart Tolle. I’m looking forward to co-leading with Soren as we contemplate what makes a “wisdom worker.”

Leading from Your Essence (Feb 5-12)
For more than 30 years, Vanessa Inn has been one of the wisest advisors and coaches to the powers that be in Hollywood. And she’s coming back to Baja! This is one of our most popular workshops, which she co-leads with MEA co-founder Jeff Hamaoui. If you’re looking for some heartfelt inspiration for how you can lead yourself and others, this workshop might be for you.

Mastering the Expression of Your Authentic Self (Feb 12-19)
Physician, Stanford professor, and 3-time bestselling author Abraham Verghese is excited to co-lead this workshop with Stanford Ph.D. and cultural anthropologist Cari Costanza. The eye-opening week will be focused on creating an evolved identity and full Body Map that will serve you for the rest of your life. Our beloved Barbara Tint co-facilitates.

Mastery Week: The Call of Your Soul (Feb 20-25)
Mark Nepo is Oprah’s favorite living poet and is one of the most soulful humans we’ve ever met. Pair him with MEA co-founder Jeff Hamaoui, and you have the promise of a week dedicated to connecting you more deeply with the true operating system for the second half of your life, your soul.

From Conventional to Intentional: Attune to Your Purpose (Feb 27-Mar 5)
I am so excited for this week, co-leading with our very own shaman Saul Kuperstein and Harvard MBA turned mindfulness teacher Zee Clarke. All three of us shifted our lives and careers to focus on our calling, and you can do the same as a result of joining us this week.

Awaken Your Rebel Soul to Reimagine Success (Mar 5-12)
Shelley Paxton, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Harley-Davidson, and MEA co-founder Christine Sperber, a former adventure sports athlete, are both rebel spirits who’ve turned their idiosyncratic thinking and being into their own, personal representations of success. And now they’re joining forces to help you do the same. Get ready to be inspired!

Reframing Retirement: Thriving in Your Next Phase of Life (Mar 19-26)
We’ve never hosted a workshop focused on alternatives to the dreaded retirement, so this will be quite a week. Joining me for this compelling (and perhaps life-changing) workshop will be my co-founder Jeff Hamaoui, along with former KPMG partner Colleen Drummond and Robert Laura, the founder of the Retirement Coaches Association. Be prepared to rethink what it means to move into your 50s, 60s, and 70s.

On December 1, my co-founder Jeff Hamaoui will offer a live fireside chat with three of our upcoming guest faculty while also talking about our 1st quarter workshops. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions about our Baja workshops as well as our Transitions and Purpose online courses. You can register HERE.
