Over-the-Top Photoshop.

Here’s a question for you: Do you worry less about how you look after age 50, or are you at a time in your life where you are giving more attention to your appearance?

I suppose your answer depends on how you want to feel or appear to the world, and, more importantly, how you’re feeling on the inside. All I know is this: aging and vanity can be like oil and water.

And let’s face it, even the most die-hard of us modern elders can wear that streak of vanity. We each do it in our own ways. And it’s not always as black and white as having Botox or getting our chins photoshopped properly. There are many shades of gray. We do it in the way we comb our hair, color our hair, tuck in our tummy, hide our flaws. Of course, looking and feeling our best is a good thing. It’s a way of honoring our body, feeling beautiful. I’m all for it. But at what point do we start waging war with our age?

I guess it’s a slippery slope from beauty shop to photoshop to botox, right? Where do you fit on that spectrum?

What are your best practices for caring less about your appearance on the outside and more about how you feel on the inside?
