Revitalize.

This post’s name is the same as a recent TED Radio Hour podcast focusing on how we can bring what's been dormant back to life, more than a year into the Covid crisis. All the featured speakers are amazing, but I think you’ll find psychologist Guy Winch’s recommendations particularly prescriptive and valuable as we try to find new footing in this new normal.

Vitality is a word with significant meaning for me. I even named a downtown San Francisco hotel, The Vitale, which I hoped would symbolize the hotel’s mission to revitalize bourgeois bohemian business travelers. Of course, vitality is also alive and well at MEA, which has proven to be a revitalizing tonic for so many of our Sabbatical Sessions guests since October.

And if you need even more signs of revitalization, check out this two-minute video I took while on an Awe Walk with a few SabSeshers. I don’t know about you but being silent in nature and letting all five of my senses tap into the natural stimulation is about the best revitalizing option I can conjure up.
