So, you can imagine my glee when I stumbled upon a new word for the very first time, especially one that resonates so deeply. Where have you been all my life? It’s like going into a cafe in a foreign land, sitting at a table, and suddenly meeting someone who is entirely different from me but speaks my language fluently.
That’s exactly how I felt yesterday when I stumbled upon “novaturient.” I know; it’s a mouthful. It means “desiring for powerful change in one’s life, behavior, or situation.” I know what you’re thinking. We should change MEA’s name to the Novaturient Institute, as that’s what many of us seek.
This word often is associated with soul-searching journeys, a yearning to explore and discover, as in, “I’m feeling novaturient these days, so I’m heading to MEA in Baja to scratch this itch.”
Can’t wait for one of our upcoming MEA workshop cohorts to call themselves The Novaturients!
See you in Baja soon.
