Today is a Gift.

December 25, 2020
Christmas can be a joyous or lonely day. This year, we’re likely experiencing it in an unfamiliar way, connected by screens, wondering about vaccines. My gift to you is this six-minute video by my friends, Louie Schwartzberg and Brother David.

You may have seen it before and, if so, imagine yourself as the little girl at the start of the video. Fresh eyes, beginner’s mind. How could we become a “first-class noticer” of everything around us today? And, how could we apply that practice of awareness to this coming year?

It’s not just another day. It’s a gift you keep giving yourself. Enjoy this day, not lamenting the past or what could have been, but instead just feeling grateful for what is.
