Upside Down: 5 Existential Questions to Ask in a Downturn

This is the fifth and last video in my Monday series of leadership lessons in a downturn. It may turn you upside down in terms of how you look at your life and the world. Hopefully, you’ll get a little chuckle from the short video including the surprise flying guest at the end.

Here are five questions made for deeper reflection:

  1. What do you want to be when you grow up? Or who do you want to be? How is your “doing” a reflection of your “being” because you’re not a “human doing”?
  2. What do you wish you’d known ten years ago that you know now? And, what can you start learning now that would serve you ten years from now?
  3. What are the limiting beliefs or mindsets that are inhibiting you from living your best life? What is your “box of unlived life?”
  4. If you only had five years left to live, how would you alter your current way of living?
  5. Can you write an obituary you can live with? What’s your legacy? Do it in 280 characters so it’s concise and even tweetable (this is when the surprise guest showed up).
