Discover your purpose and experience a second adulthood full of joy and inspiration.
As seen in:
"Who do I want to be when I grow up?" is one of the most important questions you can ask – especially when you’re in your 40s… 50s… 60s… and up.
That’s because midlife is a time when many of the things that have given your life purpose and meaning for decades start to unravel.
When all of the things that have defined your identity for so long disappear, what’s left?
The answer, of course, is YOU.

It’s time to remember who you are and what you love – and create a life that brings you joy.
Our Cultivating Purpose workshops gives you the tools and support you need to reimagine what living a meaningful life looks like for YOU – and find the confidence and inspiration you need to make that vision a reality.
In 5 days, you’ll discover how to....
1. Discover
Discover what “living your purpose” really means (spoiler: it’s not chasing after some moonshot goal that defines your entire life).
2. Uncover
Uncover who you are at your deepest level of identity and clarify what really matters most to you.
3. Rewrite
Rewrite old stories into positive narratives that inspire you to show up in the world as the person you want to be.
4. Connect
Connect with your inner guidance system and listen more carefully to what your heart is telling you to do.
5. Diversify
Diversify your pathways to purpose and open yourself to boundless opportunities for joy and abundance.
6. Evolve
Evolve from the pursuit of success to significance and reframe what it means to live a “well-lived life”.
7. Deepen
Deepen your relationships and become a better human as you immerse yourself in a like-hearted community.
8. Define
Define your legacy and uncover your pathway to personal fulfillment, whatever that looks like for you.
By the end of our five days together, you’ll have a clear vision and inspired action plan along with your purpose-driven future – along with the inspiration and to make your vision a reality.
You’ll leave the workshop inspired and energized – and bursting with enthusiasm for what lies ahead!
After 20+ years as a CEO I was burnt out and had no vision or energy for my next chapter. One week in Baja reenergized me and I emerged with an inspired vision for my 50s, 60s and beyond.

The MEA Method
All of our workshops are built around our proven MEA Method, which has been designed in collaboration with academics from Stanford, Harvard, UC Berkeley, and Yale, who have dedicated themselves to understanding modern midlife.
Together we have developed and refined experiential processes that combine the social science of longevity and the art of intentional living to help people in midlife curate a second adulthood that’s as joyful, deep, and meaningful as it is long.
Our five-day workshops create a safe space free from the distractions of daily life, where you’ll be guided through a series of life-enriching experiences designed to help you cultivate the skills and mindset you need to embrace change and consciously create the next rewarding chapter of your life.
Our world-class faculty is trained to meet your highest expectations.
All of our handpicked facilitators have been extensively trained on our MEA Method, working hand-in-hand with our team of founders, and have a wealth of experience in helping others achieve their midlife goals.
Not only are they highly trained professionals with impressive backgrounds and careers, our faculty are also midlifers just like you who have had to redefine and reconnect to the things that truly gives their lives meaning as they’ve entered this stage of life.
Please note that our facilitators are not “teachers.” We don’t stand at the front of a classroom and deliver lectures or offer instructions telling you what to do.
A transformative experience unlike any other.
The MEA Method is a process and a journey – your journey.
As your “midwife of midlife,” our MEA facilitators will lead you down that transformative path and guide you through the powerful experiences that underpin our MEA Method.
Experiences that have consistently helped thousands of people going through midlife transitions cultivate the resilience, confidence, and possibilities-focused “beginner’s mind” they need to embrace change and consciously create a life of deep joy and fulfillment.

People come for the workshops,
but they stay for the community
This is truly MEA’s “secret sauce” and something you can only experience in person: the powerful connections you will make, not only with your fellow participants and the incredible MEA faculty, but also the deeper sense of connection you will feel to your own inner self and the natural world around you.
Research into aging shows that your relationships play a HUGE role in your health and wellbeing later in life. At MEA, you will make deep and lasting connections and become part of a larger community that will make your life richer and more meaningful.
Many of our alumni cohorts have stayed in close touch for years after their workshop and we have a growing number of local alumni chapters all over the world. It’s a joy for us to see them continuing to offer each other community, friendship, and support as they create thriving midlives for themselves. So if you have been feeling at all disconnected or isolated on your journey, we would love to have you join us!
